Description
SelectInputDate component isn't working when date value is written date directly, without popup component.
So, for example, if I have filled a date and I want to erase it, I can't do it, because popup component doesn't let me.

Sorry, when I reported this bug I was working with revision 16663, and I have realized that this bug has been fixed in Icefaces-1.7.1.

Can you please explain each step of the user interactions, that demonstrate this problem? Is renderAsPopup set to true? Does the selectInputDate's value attribute has a ValueBinding to a bean property? If so, is that bean property initialised to null, or to an actual Date object?
