            Description

            The ColorSpaceWrapper class was used to fixed a threading issue present in JDK 1.4 and ColorSpace.getInstance(). This issue was fixed in JDK 1.5, more information can be found at http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4863795 .

              Removed 1.4 specific work around from core. No longer needed as we support JDK 1.5 and higher at the current time.
              The main reason for this decision was to try and simplify our code base locking mechanisms.
