It would be unlikely that we would introduce this feature on our public road map as an enhancement. The annotation type is in question is known as RichMedia Annotation type. This annotation type was introduced mainly to allow the playback of Adobe Flash presentations (.swf). There are a few Java solutions for viewing .swf files but most require that Adobe Flash is installed on the system in question. The feature could be pursued as services engagement but there are major security and configuration issues to consider.
