When I have JAI on the class path the PDF renders correctly on my windows system. Could you give me more information about your classpath and system?

Oh, sorry, you're right. I've managed to make it work on other environments (Windows and Linux), but not on this one particularly (Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.2.0-27-generic x86_64). All of them have the same classpath with the same versions: jai-core-1.1.3.jar, jai_imageio-1.1.jar, jai_codec-1.1.3.jar

        I'll keep trying.

It would appear both files have an incorrect CITTFax compress type flag. If the classpath is setup with JAI and image IO libraries the fall back code and exception handling will find the correct compression type. We are moving away form JAI soon which will hopefully make issue such as this a little easier to detect and compensate for.

Marking as fixed. The files not render correctly with the twelve monkey's library on the class bath and the new imaging code.
