Description
Similar to the status bar component. The page needs a refresh to get the JavaScript to load. Once the loaded the slide show goes to the top of the screen, out of position. Another fresh puts in back in the correct lace an the time starts working. As a result in not possible to change the slide show duration.

Closing, moving to view scope from request fixes the issue related to the duration. Brad has taken care of the javascript loading issues.

Targeting beta2 as this behaviour is slightly different in compat components.
