Regression Compat: Auction- Bid Declined message not displayed on IE6 & IE8

            Description

            Load Auction application on IE6 or IE8 browser
            Enter invalid amount for bid (very high)
            Press enter or click on submit bid icon

            No "Bid Declined" message is displayed.

              I don't believe this is a regression. The behavior that I find in all browsers I tried (Chrome, Safari, FireFox, IE) is that both clicking the Bid Accept button (the green checkmark) or typing Enter/Return, successfully rejects the bid but:

              • the Bid Accept button DOES NOT cause the "Bid declined." message to display
              • the Enter/Return key DOES cause the "Bid declined." message to display

              I tried the same experiment on the demo version of Auction Monitor running on our site (http://auctionmonitor.icefaces.org/auctionMonitor/) and it shows the same behaviour. So I'm going to resolve this as Won't Fix but I will open up another low priority JIRA for someone to take a look at regarding the message not showing.

              We should adjust our test scripts to take this behaviour into account for the time being as it's obviously been working this way for some time.
