Resizable table column problems

    Details

    • Type: Bug Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major Major
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: 1.7Beta1
    • Fix Version/s: 1.7
    • Component/s: Bridge, ICE-Components
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:
      Firefox 2.0.0.12, IE 6.0

      Description

      1. [FF, IE6] Often, when dragging the column resizing line, especially if you drag one way then another, the line will only show in the header, and not in the table body anymore.

      2. [FF, IE6] If you resize a column, that has several words in its header, down, sufficiently that the header then has several rows to word-wrap the header text, when you resize it large enough for the header text to fit, it will jump between having one row or multiple unnecessary rows.

      3. [IE6] There are gaps between the header cells.

Issue 2 won't be fixed. As we don't have control over word-wrapping.

Issue #2: I misunderstood the issue 2, here is the real problem defined by the Mark.

        1. Table showing normally

        First Name Last Name Age

        2. Resize Last Name so that it wraps

        First Name Last Age
          Name

        3. Now resize large again. Then do minute resizes, which should still be large enough for Last Name to be on one line

        First Name Last Name Age

It will glitch between taking one line and two lines, even though Last Name fits again on one line.
