Description
We have components for adding images (ice:graphicImage) and styles (ice:outputStyle) to pages and portlets that are smart about how they encode the resource URLs because they are run on the server side and so have access to the proper APIs for doing this. However, it's currently difficult to add custom JavaScript to a portlet due to the fact that the developer has to figure out the mechansim themselves. An ice:outputScript component would be able to properly resolve the URL for the environment that it's in, freeing the app developer from having to worry about it.
Requires review as to whether this would still be useful.
