Description
A common user request is an integrated file download component. Implementing a file download is a bit time-consuming since a custom servlet is needed and a lot of handwork has to be done. Providing such a component for a predefined set of file types would simplify a developer's work immensely.

Unfortunately, these components doesn't solve the problem of showing a file in a new window. Also the component presented in
http://www.icefaces.org/JForum/posts/list/6233.page
doesn't achieve this.

I can only support this. Such a component would be extremely useful, because it's very complicated to get this to work, especially if the downloaded file shall shown in a new window.
