      Description

The icefaces jars are not available in the central maven repository. This is a problem for maven developers since we have to install the files locally with a special maven command each time a new icefaces version is released.

The guys from JBoss Seam have already deployed some jars in their repository (see http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1984): http://repository.jboss.com/maven2/org/icefaces/

Perhaps it will be possible to find a solution to deploy new icefaces releases there. An alternative way would be an own icefaces repository that is synced with the central repository. See http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-central-repository-upload.html how to realize this.

The iCEfaces .poms and jars are now available to be downloaded from the icefaces.org download page in a format that should make installing them into a local Maven repository fairly straight-forward.

We are reviewing hosting our own Maven repository on icefaces.org also, should have an update on that soonish.

Starting with ICEfaces 1.8.1, ICEfaces releases can now be sourced from public Maven repositories.

          See http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven2/org/icefaces/ for available releases.

This will be refreshed with each new official release going forward.

Note that Maven provides the runtime jars and poms, but does not include documentation or IDE integrations, etc. For those, you'll want to use the www.icefaces.org download page, etc.

Oops. We just remembered that the Maven repository is missing some stuff, such as the push-server, and the just-ice.jar.

We should make it complete asap. Once we add these to our public svn repo it should populate the public maven repos within a day.
