ace:autoCompleteEntry pop-up sometimes incorrect positions the pop-up vertically

    Details

    • Type: Bug Bug
    • Status: Open
    • Priority: Major Major
    • Resolution: Unresolved
    • Affects Version/s: 4.1.1
    • Fix Version/s: None
    • Component/s: ACE-Components
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:
Oracle Linux, Firefox 45.1 and 45.2

      Description

      How to reproduce:
      - go to autoCompleteEntry showcase: http://icefaces-showcase.icesoft.org/showcase.jsf?grp=ace:autoCompleteEntry&exp=Custom%20Facet
      - shrink the browser window so that there is only an inch between the autoCompleteEntry input field and the bottom of the window (this forces the pop-up to display above the input field instead of the default below it
      - slowly type the letters "san francisco e" making sure the pop-up refreshes after each button press

Notice that when "san francisco " is typed (make sure you type that last space), there are 4 entries remaining; once you type the final "e" the pop-up fails to recalculate its vertical position, but it makes all the non-matching entries disappear. This leaves the last entry "San Francisco El Alto" hovering well above where it should be positioned.
