feature request: ability to customize selectInputDate with drop down month/year

            user said it would be great if they could have the selectInputDate customizable,
            so that it would be possible to turn the month and year scrollers into dropdowns
            instead like Tomahawk.

                Ken thinks, and I agree, that when using the drop-downs, that we should use one
                left arrow and one right arrow button, which would move the months.

                Also, we could make the drop down menu for the years just show, by default 5
                years into the past and 5 years into the future. This range could be
                configurable. It would always be a delta from the navigated date, so you could
                chunk down to a further away year.

                If we controlled the actual drop down menu more directly, then we could put an
                up and down button right in it, which would in-place chunk up or down the years.
                And it would be nice to show the current navigated year in bold, in that menu.
