Description
Customers have been generally happy with the new "blurred" image reference type (PDF-1115) but they have notice some inconsistency with the approach.
The blurredImage reference works best with rectangular images of mid to high resolutions. This mainly applies to full page images scans. However there several cases where a scanned image will be composed of many image bands that are quite narrow. These image are purposely skipped for blurring as they don't blur very well.
A customer has ask if we could fall back on our next best and apply the smoothScaled image reference as an alternative if blurred shouldn't be applied.
