Description
A customer is having issues rendering Chinese fonts in their Ubuntu 10.4 environment. Here are details provided:
We provided the solution:
--------------------------------
1. Copy "simsun.ttc" into "lib\fonts" inside "your_java_runtime_directory"
2. Close program and start it again
Note; IcePDF should be able to render the "missed glyphs"... Otherwise, they got conflict with other font - they use wrong font without required glyphs.
--------------------------------
Customer reported:
The solution works fine on Suse, but not works on Ubuntu.
Now customer is facing the Chinese characters are missing when print preview on Ubuntu.
***
The provided workaround works on Windows/Mac OS X, but not on Ubuntu 10.04
