            Description

            Create a new annotation that would allow the creation of Text Annotations. This new tool would be similar to the link annotation tool added in 4.0 beta. A simple tool that would allow the annotation location to be defined and property panes for editing its properties.

            Text annotations can have content streams to represent their render states. The tool could use a library like iText to translate the Java2d draw operations into valid PostScript.


            Lots of planning to do still but would be a very useful tool.
