    Details

    • Type: Improvement Improvement
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major Major
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: 3.2
    • Fix Version/s: 3.3
    • Component/s: Tool Integrations
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:
      Netbeans 7.2, Netbeans 7.3

      Description

Drag&Drop ICEfaces components. The tags are added, however the namespaces declaration is not added automatically

We know it is a useful feature and We tried to bring this capability in for all ICEfaces component libraries as we did for 7.1. But due to some serious dependency issues with first 7.2 release, we temporarily disable the capability. We will bring it back in future release if related issues can be resolved.

The problem is JSF API module, which is not official API module. It requires to be friend module to use it without restriction. If I declare it as implemenetation, One the module is updated, ICEfaces Editor support module will have problem. We had this issue with first ICEfaces budle on Netbeans 7.2 release and it is why we disable it. We may need to test it to after some updates, if it is possible to enable it.

It is impossible in nb 7.2. But in 7.3 oracle has added icefaces module ids in our dependent modules as friends and I am able to enable this capability.
