In the 3.0 release, various effects of some ACE components were disabled because they were causing errors or odd behaviour in certain browsers. An attempt should be made to re-enable these effects either by updating the jQuery/jQueryUI libraries or by making structural changes in the way that components work in the client side.

This is a summary of all effects that were disabled

* All effects in all IE* browsers for ace:contextMenu.
* 'pulsate' on hide in ace:confirmationDialog and ace:dialog for all browsers .
* 'highlight' and 'bounce' on hide in ace:confirmationDialog and ace:dialog for IE7 and IE8.
* 'puff' on hide in ace:confirmationDialog for IE7.
* 'puff' and 'scale' in show on ace:confirmationDialog for IE7.

Additional tweaks were made in 3.1 to disable certain expensive effects in IE7/8.

All of these exceptions to standard effects support should be documented in the various component Wiki pages and TLD as appropriate.
