checked into snapshots the samples-parent and ace, compat and core samples build poms, but this is probably not the ideal solution.
Suggest the following:-
project-ace.pom, project-compat.pom, project-core.pom which will have the repository location, default profiles, with the most likely dependencies and the repository location for where they poms are located. This should be integrated with the base IDE sample projects/tutorials so that they can use these as parents, depending on what is required. Should there also be one for project-ace-compat (that uses both ace and compat projects?).
What is it we want to provide as defaults? Or do we want to provide maven archetypes which provide a base project as well as a build pom?
