Description
In order to support the javax.faces.SEPARATOR_CHAR configuration parameter that was added to JSF 2 we need to review the existing Compat component code to ensure that all id separator references use the defined separator character, and not the ':' character (hardcoded) as was the situation in JSF 1.x.
The javax.faces.component.UINamingContainer public static char getSeparatorChar(FacesContext context) method can be used to retrieve the separator char at runtime.
