Deadlock in BlockingServlet

            Description

            We encounter a problem where the application is deadlocked:

            - only a few users are logged in (less than 7 sessions)
            - after a while they cannot logout
            - new users cannot login
            - users currently logged in can use the application normally

            we need to restart tomcat to get rid of this situation.

            i've attached a thread dump of the situation when no one can login.

            I'd like to get some input if this problem is known or even fixed already.
