Description
The Portlet 2.0 specification (JSR 286) provides much better support for asynchronous communications and Ajax capabilities. Accessing these features in ICEfaces should allow us to get around some of the current limitations with regard to the Portlet 1.0 API.

Support for JSR-286 is being provided via IF 2.0 and the PortletFaces Bridge.
