      Description

When 2 ICEfaces applications are deployed to the same server, when switching from one ICEfaces application to the other, the other seems to hang. I deployed both our stock AuctionMonitor and Component-Showcase applications to JBoss running on one of our test servers. Using Internet Explorer I opened the 1st application and everything seems to work fine. Then within the same Internet Explorer window I opened the 2nd application which loads "normally". However, it doesn't seem to function at all.

As we know with Internet Explorer you can only have 2 connections to the same host-port combination. It seems that the connection(s) used in the 1st applications are not being released when switching to the 2nd application.

Targeting fix for next available release – Ajax Push connectivity is an important low-level feature.

Additional forum comment indicating that connections are not being shut down with Firefox either:

The reason Firefox works fine (at least I think one of the reasons) is that it allows 4 persistent connections to a server. I was able to learn a bit about it from this thread:

The workarounds should be good for now, and I think we pretty much understand them. Thanks for looking into this.
