Description
the build.facelet.war ant target. Go to the File Upload component. Type in a
bogus filename that doesn't exist, and click on the Upload button. There will
briefly appear an error message stating that "This is not a valid file" which
will then disappear quickly. The regular JSP variant of component-showcase,
built using the build.war ant target, does not exhibit this behaviour, as the
error message will remain. This could be a component, application, or Facelets
specific framework issue. No idea.

Re-opening this issue. As of DR#5 build 3 this problem is back (may be earlier too), even in the JSP Comp. Showcase.
The following are observed issues:
1. Trying to upload a blank file doesn't produce the error msg. at all until several attempts are made, and then the error only appears sporadically after numerous attempts.
2. Entering (or selecting) a valid file path, then changing it by adding extra characters to make it invalid somehow still works when you press upload. Progress is set to 100% and the incorrect file path is displayed (FF 2.0). Seems to only work if you change the path after the drive letter. This is very strange.
3. Sometimes when an error msg. is displayed, it disappears again shortly afterwards.

Now it prints a different error message: The file name '' does not match with the file name pattern '.+'
The message now stays. That is, until you visit another tab.
So, in a way, it's actually more of a problem now, because the error message is the wrong one, even though it sticks around.
