Description
Several customers have asked us about JDK 17 support since our previous patch release. This year, we have been working more closely with JDK 17 and doing specific testing to certify this JDK with ICEfaces 4.3. This JIRA serves as reference for that work and to provide more details about running ICEfaces applications on JDK 17.

Using JDK 17 is now officially certified for ICEfaces 4.3_P12. This certification only applies to running applications on JDK 17 with the jars contained in the binary bundle that we distribute. It's not certified for compiling the ICEfaces source code with JDK 17. Application code can be compiled with JDK 17, if it was intended for it. This certification is also limited to only the supported Application Servers that can run on JDK 17 in the first place. For example, this excludes the WebLogic and WebSphere servers.
