ace:simpleSelectOneMenu - Validator not called

            Description

            When using a custom validator for the simpelSelectOneMenu, the validator method is not called.

            This was working in EE 3.3.0 P01 but no longer is now.

              Attached test case.

              Steps:

              • Load welcomeICEfaces.jsf
              • Make a selection in the menu. There should be some logging in the server logs to indicate that the validator method is being called.

              Committed fix to 4.0 trunk at revision 43560 and to 3.3 EE maintenance branch at revision 43559.

              Added logic to check for custom validators in the component class. This issue originally started after changes for ICE-9564, which fixed issues with custom converters and consisted in overriding the component validation logic (in UIInput).
