Description
showcase > Mobi Components > Augmented Reality
Tomcat 7 testing r43088, bridgeIt 1.0.5
After uploading more than 1 photo, the number of "Locations marked" rendered on page is still 1, unless you assign a label to each additional photo uploaded. After labelling and uploading images, then viewing in augmented reality mode, the images are stacked on top each other in one location. The reason you can tell they are stacked is because of the lowered opacity of the images when they are super-imposed over the camera view. The labels are also stacked atop one another. Ideally the images should be super-imposed over the camera view in the same cardinal direction that the photo was shot.
To reproduce:
Launch mobile-showcase on an ios device.
Navigate to the Augmented Reality demo.
Press Camera and shoot a photo of an object.
Add a label in the field beneath the Camera button and press Submit.
Turn 90 degrees to the right or left.
Press Camera and shoot a photo of an object uniquely different from the first image.
Add a label in the field beneath the Camera button and press Submit.
You will now see Locations marked: 2 output below the Submit button.
Next press the reality button.
The demo will go into augmented reality overlay mode.
Hold your phone out straight in front of you and rotate your body slowly until the photos you shot are seen super-imposed over the camera view.
The image will be small and not at full opacity.
Looking carefully at the image you will see that it is composed of both photos you shot as well as the labels stacked all together.
These images should have been rendered separately and about 90 degrees apart when you rotate yourself in the augmented Reality Overlay mode.
Wildfly 8.1.0 - Only 1 image overlay seems to appear. It is at 100% opacity.
